Wax Mueseum

If you had dreams of getting clicked with one of your favorite celebrities in Dubai but you couldn’t find them anywhere…there is a chance that you can find them at Madame Tussauds Dubai. Though they will not be real but a lifelike wax figure is definitely the second best thing that you can find.

Madame Tussauds Museum was one such thing! It was quite surprising that Dubai was not a part of the 21 places that had Madame Tussauds. But, I think the heavens above read my thoughts! Madame Tussauds will open in Dubai in 2020.

Another absolutely amazing fact is that it will be located on the Bluewaters Island right next to Ain Dubai, which is Dubai’s version of the London Eye. With some incredible places to visit and have fun, I am already excited to see what more the island has to offer to us!

What is Madame Tussauds Dubai?

Madame tussauds entry gate

Madame Tussauds settled down in Baker Street in 1835 and opened a museum. The museum featured the ‘Chamber of Horrors’. It was a part of the museum which had horrifying relics from the French Revolution. After her death, her grandson shifted her works to the current location of the museum. The first overseas Madame Tussauds opened in Amsterdam in 1970. From that time, the number of Madame Tussauds has increased manifold. Now, you can find one in Bangkok, Delhi, Beijing, Berlin, Hollywood, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Las Vegas, London, San Francisco, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, Washington DC, Wuhan New York, and Orlando.

And now finally there is a Wax Museum in Dubai! The museum will feature A-list celebrities, political leaders, historical legends and sporting icons from all across the globe. The stunning lifelike wax figures of the people will be brought to reality by world-class sculptors and the technique will be the same as what Madame Tussauds used about 200 years ago. You can touch, hug, feel and get clicked with your favorite celebrities. Isn’t that incredibly exciting? I can’t wait to visit!

What is the Madame Tussauds Dubai Celebrity List?

The list of celebrities that you will find at the Madame Tussauds Dubai is not final as yet. But, we got a few hints from our trusted sources! You can expect to see lifelike wax figures of Elvis Presley, David Beckham, Barack Obama, and Vladimir Putin. I mean these definitely won’t be all and you can expect many more of your favorites!

Similar to the Madame Tussauds London, the Madame Tussauds Dubai will have wax figures of the rulers of Dubai. You can definitely stand with your leader and get yourself a pretty picture!

Where is it located?

The Madame Tussauds Dubai location has been confirmed. It is located close to the Ain Dubai on the Bluewaters Island. Bluewaters Island is a project that Meraas Holdings is developing on a reclaimed land.It is located 500m off the JBR coastline. All You Need To Know About Ain Dubai

Ain-Dubai

The city of Gold is becoming home to the world’s largest Ferris wheel, Ain Dubai. The Ain Dubai will open its doors on 20th October 2020. Being one of the most anticipated tourist places, Ain Dubai will open at the time of the inauguration of Expo 2020 Dubai. The place will provide you 360-degree views of Dubai city and the skyline. Catch the sunset from the Ain Dubai and it will seem like you are looking through the gates of heaven. From the observation deck, you will get a glimpse of the famous attractions of Dubai like Burj Khalifa, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina, and Burj Al Arab.

What is Ain Dubai?

Ain Dubai is basically Dubai’s version of the London Eye although a lot bigger and a lot higher. To compare both, the Ain Dubai which stands at a staggering 210m is almost twice the height of the London Eye which is 135m. When it comes to Dubai, always expect the unexpected. Ain Dubai weighs 9,000 tonnes which are 25% more than the weight of the Eiffel Tower, which weighs 7,300 tonnes. The Ain Dubai will leave you gaping with the enthralling views of the city of Dubai and the stunning skyline.

How was the architectural wonder assembled?

The weight of this giant structure is beyond imagination. The manufacturing of the spindle and the hub of the Ain Dubai was external. But, the assembling happened in the UAE. These sit atop the 126-meter tall legs, forming a stretch of 40m and a height of 20m. The wheel’s hub was connected to the rim using 192 spoke cables!

You will be astonished to know that two of the largest cranes in the world with a lifting capacity of 3,000 tonnes have been deputized to put the structure together. It took about a month to weld the spindle frames to the four legs of the Ferris Wheel. It was these cranes that help up the weight of the entire structure at this time.

You will be amazed to know that the construction of the spindle which is 6.25 meters is from the steel that is used at nuclear plants. You do not have to think about your safety as it has been welded and rolled with so much skill. Like all other structures in Dubai, Ain Dubai’s structural durability and safety cannot be questioned. The giant Ferris Wheel has been constructed after minute planning.

Where is it located?

Ain Dubai is located at Bluewaters Island. It is being developed on reclaimed land by Meraas Holdings, about 500m off the Jumeirah Beach Residence Coastline. The place is a perfect combination of the serenity of the island and the vibrant vibe of a city. This man-made island will include hospitality, retail, entertainment, and residential zones.

The island will include two five star hotels with direct beach access. It will include ten residential buildings with world-class facilities like basketball courts, gyms, swimming pools, play areas, and gardens. The island will also have 200 retail, food and beverage outlets in the entertainment section and at the ground floor of the residential buildings.

How does it feel to be on board the Ain Dubai?

The Dubai Eye features 48 capsules with a seating capacity of 1400 people. The size of each capsule is about 30 meters and it can fit up to 40 people comfortably. The walls of the capsules are made of glass. You will witness breathtaking views of the city and the panoramic views of the Dubai skyline. Also, keeping in line with the newest technology, each capsule will have smart climate control and LED screens that will give you information about the views.

The towering structure also features 6 VIP capsules with private fine dining for about 40 people. Six capsules will also have a licensed bar. So, you know where you can sip on a drink while watching the sunset and the dynamic skyline of the city.

Secret Revealed (For the Adventure Lovers!)

Gather adventure lovers, the Ain Dubai has something in store for you! One of the legs of this spectacular wheel will have the highest rope-climbing platform in the world. With Ain Dubai, the city will be shattering two world records with one structure. Incredible, right?

What are the ticket prices and timings?

The announcement of the ticket prices and the timings has not been done as yet.

Dhows are traditional Arabian boats that were used by the Arabic traders to trade produce and other valuable items across the Middle East and South Asia. The Musandam Day Trip features a Dhow Ride from Dibba. The early Dhows were made from teak and were tied by coconut ropes, but they have been modernized. The brown wooden exterior and the triangular sail gives you an essence of the traditional boats. The fjords also called ‘khors’ can be explored on the Dhows while sipping on the Omani coffee.

The Khasab Castle was built by the Portuguese in the 17th century when they colonized Khasab and planned to take over the Strait of Hormuz. The Portuguese were thrown out by the Omanis in 1624, who took control over the Castle.
